Joan has over 23 years in nursing administration, several years as a staff nurse in various areas and a midwife in the UK. It’s this experience that Joan brings to Aojah t help support the Medical Missions in the Caribbean. Joan is currently an Ambulatory Care Manager for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Genetics for Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG) in Woodland Hills. In collaboration with the OBGYN Chief of service Joan manages all OBGYN and genetic services which include; routine and complicated obstetrical and gynecological care, GYN oncology, infertility service and genetics counseling and testing. Joan’s experience in nursing and participation in missions in Jamaica, helps to support Aojah’s efforts. Joan is currently a Girl Scout Leader, Troop 51, California Central. She holds a bachelor of Science in Nursing, Certificate in Psychiatric Nursing and is a State Certified Midwife.
