Joan was elected as the President of the Board of AOJAH in September 2010 to lead its mission in eliminating health and education disparities amongst needy families. Joan has been the Assistant Medical Center Administrator at Kaiser Permanente in West Los Angeles since 2000 and has over twenty five in leadership. In this position, Joan oversees medical center operations primarily in the outpatient arena. Joan has received several awards from mentorship and Leader of the year. She also brings an abundance of experience within the last eight years leading and coordinating medical missions to Jamaica which provided health and dental care to the underprivileged. It’s this background that Joan brings to the Presidency of AOJAH to lead the organization in achieving its goals and touching one life at a time in a positive way. Joan is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the Ambulatory Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing. Joan is a graduate of City College of New York, has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters in Business Administration.
