Support Our 2025 Eyecare Mission to Grenada – Help Us Make a Difference!
Grenada has one of the highest rates of cataracts and glaucoma in the Western Hemisphere. This year, the Alliance of Jamaican and American Humanitarians (AOJAH) is sponsoring a free 1-week eyecare mission from April 12-18, 2025. Your generous donation will help cover medical equipment, supplies, glasses, and shipping costs.
Our dedicated 30+ volunteers will be giving their time and covering their own travel expenses to provide this essential service. With your support, we can ensure they have everything needed to deliver high-quality care to patients in need.
AOJAH, a US-based nonprofit, has been offering free medical and eyecare services in Jamaica for over 12 years. Last year, we expanded to Grenada, providing critical care to over 1,200 patients. This year, we’ll be offering cataract surgeries along with optometry services. The Ministry of Health in Grenada has identified eye care as a priority, and our mission last year confirmed the urgency of these efforts.
Free services to be provided include:
✔ Cataract surgeries
✔ Eye screenings, exams, and diagnoses
✔ Prescription glasses
✔ Glaucoma medications (1 year’s worth)
✔ Sunglasses
✔ Artificial tears
✔ Allergy medications
Please consider contributing to this important cause. Together, we can make a lasting impact on Grenada’s eye care.
